Sunday, October 12   Nairobi - Sweetwaters
After an early morning worship service in Nairobi, drive through the farmlands and coffee plantations to the Kenya highlands to arrive at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, which is situated in the secluded heart of the Pejeta Rhino Reserve. The camp, a haven for nature lovers, overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the reserve, which offers us an unforgettable opportunity to watch and photograph elephant, giraffe, buffalo and other plains game. This afternoon we do a game drive in the park and then enjoy dinner and overnight at the luxurious tented camp in Sweetwaters. (B,L,D)

Monday, October 13   Sweetwaters

Enjoy an early morning game run as well as one in the afternoon. Between the game runs there is time to rest, swim, or just relax, watching the various animals come to the waterhole in front of the tents. An opportunity to visit the chimp sanctuary is also offered. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters. (B,L,D)

Tuesday, October 14   Sweetwaters - Nakuru

After breakfast at the camp, drive towards the Rift Valley with a brief stop at the stunning Thompson Falls to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Following lunch, visit with missionaries involved in pioneer missions. In the mid-afternoon enjoy a game drive of Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its large concentration of birds, especially flamingos. Rhinos and buffalo are also common. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge. (B,L,D)

Wednesday, October 15   Nakuru - Kijabe

Following breakfast at the lodge, depart for Kijabe, perhaps the world’s largest mission station. This afternoon visit the Rift Valley Academy, a school for over 500 children of missionaries. They represent some 80 different mission organizations in Africa. Tonight will be spent with missionary hosts for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)

Thursday, October 16   Kijabe

There will be time today to spend with Kijabe missionaries and visit Moffat College of Bible, Kijabe Medical Center and Bethany Crippled Children’s Center. Meals and overnight will again be with missionary hosts. (B,L,D)

Friday, October 17   Kijabe - Masai Mara

Depart Kijabe at 8:30 a.m. and head to Nairobi. There will be a stopover en route at the Masai Village Market to buy souvenirs and to have lunch on your own. Transfer from the Village Market at 12:30 p.m. in order to catch the AIM/ AIR flight from Wilson Airport to Masai Mara, where you will be transferred to Mara Sarova Game Camp for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Saturday, October 18   Masai Mara

The Mara is the last place in Kenya where great concentrations of game that existed in the last century can still be seen. It is a land of breathtaking vistas, a panorama of rolling grassland hills and groves of acacia woodland. Permanent residents of the Mara include black rhino, elephant, buffalo, topi, giraffe, and of course, the big cats: lion, cheetah and leopard. In addition, huge herds of zebra and wildebeest lead an endlessly nomadic life, crisscrossing from the Serengeti Plains of Tanzania to the Masai Mara of Kenya. Today is yours to relax in the wildlife lodge, or you may choose to go on both the early morning pre-breakfast wildlife drive and another one later in the day. Meals and accommodations at Mara Sarova. (B,L,D)

Sunday, October 19   Masai Mara - Kijabe - Nairobi

After breakfast there will be a transfer to a local church for morning worship. Return to the lodge for lunch before transferring to the airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi on AIM/AIR. You will be met at Wilson Airport and driven to the Stanley Hotel in Nairobi, where you will have time to freshen up before dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the Stanley Hotel. (B,L,D)

Monday, October 20   Nairobi

After breakfast, visit the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology in nearby Karen and enjoy chapel with students from English-speaking countries of Africa. Stop at the Kizuri Bead Factory and the home of Karen Blixen from Out of Africa. After lunch at the Karen Blixen restaurant, return to Nairobi for an afternoon at leisure. This evening enjoy dinner at The Carnivore, a barbecue-style restaurant near Nairobi where commercially grown game meats are barbecued and served directly to the table. Overnight in Nairobi. (B,L,D)

Tuesday, October 21   Nairobi

Begin today’s touring at Giraffe Manor, where orphaned giraffes are cared for, with an opportunity to feed them with your own hands. Visit the Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage before returning to the Stanley Hotel for lunch. The remainder of the afternoon is free for final packing and sightseeing. Dinner tonight will be with members of the Africa Inland Mission and local church leaders before the transfer to the airport for departure for London. (B,L,D)

Wednesday, October 22   Arrive in USA

The overnight flight arrives in London in the morning, with transfer to a flight to Newark, arriving in the USA late in the morning.
