ITINERARY:
Monday, April 16: Fly
to Honolulu
This morning we
board our airplane and
fly to Honolulu. There
will be a stopover
enroute; our air schedule
will be available at a
later date.
We arrive in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, Hawaii—
the Aloha State’s capital city. A cruise representative will
meet us and assist in our transfer to the ship. Our floating
luxury hotel is NCL Pride of Hawaii, the newest ship to sail
the Hawaiian islands. We set sail at 8 p.m. Aloha! (Dinner
on board)
Tuesday, April 17: Hilo, The big island
Arrive Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. in Hilo, on “The Big
Island” of Hawaii. We will have all day to take advantage of
some marvelous optional tours on the east side of Hawaii.
We may also choose to simply enjoy a leisurely visit in the
quaint and charming town of Hilo. Sail at 7 p.m. Tonight we
have a spectacular sail-by of Mount Kilauea, an active lava
flow, alive with color as it glows shades of red and orange.
(All meals available on board)
Wednesday, April 18: Kahulua, Maui
Today we cruise into Kahului on the island of Maui at 8
am. This island is named for the demigod Maui; legend has
it that he pulled the Hawaiian Islands, one by one, out of the
sea. The port of Kahului
is a bustling harbor,
minutes away from
some of the island’s
most scenic spots. We
will have ample opportunity
to enjoy our visit to
“The Valley Isle” with a
long list of optional
excursions or you can
rent a car and explore
on your own. We will be
docked at Kahului, Maui
until 6 p.m. Thursday.
(All meals available on
board)
Thursday, April 19: Maui, Hawaii
Our day on the island of Maui will allow us ample time
to enjoy another day of optional touring available from the
ship or to explore on your own. Transportation to Lahaina,
the quaint whaling village, is available at a small fee. This is
also a perfectly good opportunity for us to enjoy the comfort
and pleasures of the Pride of Hawaii by lounging on board
the ship. We sail at 6 p.m. for Kona on the west side of the
island of Hawaii. (All meals available on board)
Friday, April 20: Kona, Hawaii
Arrive in Kona at 7 a.m. Kona is warm and sunny yearround.
The sunsets are a natural wonder, and nature’s
bounty is seen everywhere.
And, of course,
the famous Kona coffee
is the beverage of
choice. Optional tours
available from the ship
give a wide range of
activity—from golf to
historical, and volcanos
to ranches. We leave
Kona at 6 p.m. (All meals available on board)
Saturday, April 21: Kauai, Hawaii
The day starts with scenic cruising of the unique coast
of Kauai. We arrive at the port of Nawiliwili at 10 a.m., on
the island of Kauai—the “Garden Island.” Some of the most
spectacular scenery in all of Hawaii can be enjoyed with a
visit to Waimea Canyon, Wailua Falls, the Fern Grotto and
Na Pali Coast. Have your camera ready on this island. We
will be docked in Kauai two days. (All meals available on
board)
Sunday, April 22: Kauai, Hawaii
We will still have time to enjoy Kauai before we depart
for Oahu. An optional island tour may be your pleasure for
the day. Later enjoy dinner with the group on our last night
at sea. We arrive back in Honolulu, Oahu on Monday
morning. (All meals available on board)
Monday, April 23: Travel Home
After disembarkation
this morning,
we leave the Pride
of Hawaii, we
transfer to the
airport for our return
overnight flight to
the mainland
arriving home
Tuesday morning,
May 1. (Breakfast
on board)
Optional Pearl Harbor Touring:
Choose the 2-night
pre-cruise option for the
opportunity to tour Pearl
Harbor Monday, April
23, prior to embarking
the ship. The tour
begins at the hotel and
ends as we board the
Pride of Hawai’i.
Luggage will be transferred from the hotel directly to the ship
and will be waiting for the start of our 7-night cruise.
Post-cruise touring option, tour Pearl Harbor after the
cruise. The ability to tour Pearl Harbor after the cruise may
require a deviation in the group air schedule at a cost of $50
per person and a possible increase in air cost. Those
choosing this option will have a guaranteed time for the tour
of Pearl Harbor. (Set-up of tour by NCL and the tour schedule
will not be available until six weeks prior to the cruise.)
