ITINERARY
Day 1 (Springfield, IL) South Bend, Indiana
We begin our tour taking us to historic Adventist
sites that have been inspired by Adventist pioneers
across mid-western and eastern United States. Our
tour will feature other sites, well known for their universal
historic and cultural appeal. Today we travel to Springfield,
capital city of the State of Illinois. This city is rich in
the memories of the 16th President of the United States. We will
have time for touring the Lincoln National Historic site.
Lunch will be on our own. Later we travel to South
Bend, Indiana for dinner and overnight lodging. (Dinner
included)
Day 2 South Bend, Indiana to Toledo, Ohio
We drive to Berrien Springs, Michigan for a visit to Andrews University, the
first Adventist University. Following our campus tour we travel to Battle
Creek, Michigan. Here we step back in time when we visit Historic Adventist
Village, a three block living tribute to the Adventist
settlers of the mid-1800’s. Our overnight lodging will
be near Toledo, Ohio. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 3 Toledo, Ohio to Rochester, New York
Our journey today will take us across northern
Ohio and Pennsylvania into western New York State,
to Rochester, New York. Here we will join up with Dr.
Merlin Burt, a professor from Andrews University and
a noted Adventist historian who will travel with us on
our journey to Boston. Rochester was the site of the
Adventist church headquarters, 1852-1855. Overnight
lodging will be near Rochester. (Breakfast and dinner
included)
Day 4 Rochester to Albany, New York
We travel today across central New York State
visiting historic Adventist sites, including Hiram Edson
Farm and gravesite. We overnight near Albany, capital
city of New York State. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 5 Albany (Sturbridge) to Tewksbury, Massachusetts
This morning we drive across central Massachusetts
to Sturbridge. We visit Old Sturbridge Village, a
200-acre re-created New England rural village of the
early 1800’s. We visit the John Andrews Home near
North Lancaster. John Andrews lived here while serving
as pastor of the South Lancaster village church. It
is from here that Andrews and his two children left to
become the first official overseas SDA missionaries.
Our lodging for the next four nights will be in the Boston
area. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 6 New England Adventist sites
Our special emphasis today will be Adventist
sites in Maine. We return to Tewksbury for overnight.

Day 7 Sabbath worship
We visit sites associated with the inspired life of
William Miller. Sabbath devotional services will be offered
on this day. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 8 New England Adventist sites
Additional Adventist sites in Northern Massachusetts
and New Hampshire will be visited today. We
overnight in Tewksbury. (Breakfast and dinner included)
Day 9 Historic Boston touring
A day of structured sightseeing of the city of Boston with local step-on
guide. Our tour will feature historic Boston including Quincy Market, Faneuil
Hall, USS Constitution (Old Ironsides), and an overview of over 300 years of
American history and tradition. We will also include
Adventist sites in Fairhaven, MA, that relate to the lifework
of Joseph Bates. There will also be some free
time for personal shopping. We return to Tewksbury.
