• It's a busy time for Delta Airlines. Delta has recently announced several additions to their New York service, including London, Copenhagen and Stockholm. Plus, in keeping with Delta's goal to become New York's number one airline, the carrier will offer hourly weekday shuttle flights to Chicago O'Hare.
• Delta has also received Chinese government approval for, and has begun non-stop service to Beijing five times per week. September will bring Delta service to Liberia from Atlanta, as well.
• Good news for those whose travel has been constrained by the need to conform to the Fly America Act. The second stage of the U.S. - European Union Open Skies agreement will help relax some of the restrictions that applied to the use of non-US flagged European carriers.
• Through July 31, Alaska is offering free Wi-Fi on six of its Boeing 737s. The remainder of the Alaska Air fleet will be Wi-Fi equipped by the end of the year.
• November 10, will mark the beginning of daily non-stop service from Houston to Lagos on Continental Airlines.
