Billed as "a work in progress", the Encyclopedia of Days includes descriptions of holidays from all over the world, mostly grouped alphabetically by country, religion or topic. Religious entries include Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. It also has calendar related topics, such as epact and dominical letter.

European Governments

The main governmental sites for each country, which usually include the sites for the Head of State, the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and sometimes a portal site for the national civil service. There are also links to institution sites such as the national parliament, the national statistics office, the central bank and the national cultural organization.

Faith Group Resources on the Internet

A page off the Worldwide Faith News homepage that provides an extensive list of links to the official, some "unofficial" or provisional, web sites of religious denominations and organizations. This compilation was originally a project of staff at the World Council of Churches in Geneva.

United Nations

This site utilizes a user-friendly database that enables access to the most current statistical data for the Member States of the United Nations by sourcing the information power of the United Nations Statistics Division, the World Statistics Pocketbook, and the Statistical Yearbook.

Worldwide Faith News (WFN)

This page links to a database of full text official news releases and more than 14,000 other documents from the news offices of national and world faith groups. The search capability enables you to locate material in English, French, German or Spanish. The site also offers a subscription to their mailing list to receive documents as they are posted.
