Danielle’s passion to explore new places began as a little girl—inspired by her father’s many
road trips and family Sunday explorations and from a two week educational trip to Spain as a
teenager. Visits to five foreign countries began with a Girl Scout camping trip to Niagara Falls,
Canada. She participated in a two-week educational trip throughout the country of Spain, trips to
Grand Cayman Island, a mission’s trip to Juarez, Mexico, and numerous trips to Greece. In
addition, she spent a semester studying in Athens, Greece, immersed in the Greek culture and
experiencing the country in a way few tourists ever do. Danielle takes advantage of every
opportunity to return to Greece, feeling as much at home there as she does in her hometown.
Danielle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Virginia Wesleyan College and a Bible
certificate from Lancaster Bible College. She currently is the Lead Case Counselor of the
Philhaven Day Hospital in Lancaster, PA. In her role there, she interacts daily with children from the ages of eight to eighteen
who are struggling with mental health and/or behavioral issues. In addition to her job, Danielle participates in a local
College and Career Bible Study, an all female small group, and is a youth leader for the senior high students at her local
church. She has plans to participate in a mission’s trip with her college and career fellowship to Peru from December 2005
through January 2006.
